Gracedale Park Official Re-Opening – On Saturday October 20th, 2012 Councillor Mammoliti and City of Toronto staff joined members of the community to celebrate the completion of a practice cricket cage with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. Councillor Mammoliti will delivered the ceremonial first cricket ball. The Emery Village Cricket League, the first official cricket league in Ward 7, will provided cricket demonstrations. Saturday also marked the completion of a splash pad at Gracedale Park, ready for use next summer. Click on the link below to view the official invite!
Joseph Bannon Park - On October 13th, 2012 we launched the opening of Joseph Bannon Park located on 65 Mary Chapman Blvd (Weston/Sheppard). This new park features an artificial outdoor ice rink, splash pad, mini soccer field and more. The park honours W.W.2 Canadian veteran Joseph Bannon, who was not only a war hero, but also a local community champion.

Emery Village Charity Golf Tournament 2012 – On September 6th, 2012 the Emery Village BIA hosted its 6th annual Charity Golf Tournament. The event helped raise funds for Habitat for Humanity Toronto, a reputable, non-profit organization that has been building affordable homes in partnership with low-income families since 1988 and the Maggie Sanderson Childcare Centre, a childcare facility that will be built in Emery Village to provide subsidized childcare service to BIA members.

Ontario Ride’s for Autism – On June 10th 2012, Councillor Giorgio Mammoliti supported Autism Ontario in the inaugural “Ontario Rides for Autism” to increase awareness for this underfunded cause.

Community Environment Day – Councillor Mammoliti has also participated in raising awareness about our environment. He took part in Ward 7’s environment day on Thursday May 19th, 2011 at Downsview Arena.
